The Haunting

In 1860, William Fee was convicted of the murder of an unknown woman and sentenced to hang. Now it's your turn to investigate the 24 cells of the former Wayne County Jail and Sheriff's residence, complete with original inmate artwork on the walls, and see for yourself if William Fee – the only man hanged in Wayne County – is still walking the cellblock.

The Museum is located in the 1856 Wayne County Jail and sheriff's residence. There are 13 rooms of exhibition space and a seasonal Carriage House. William Fee was hanged right in the jail in 1860.
