If You Dare to Stay the Course

Gather close, intrepid traveler… your journey is about to fall under careful watch. For the first time, the Haunted History Trail invites you into a two-day guided adventure—where the stories you may have heard spring to life before your eyes!

In partnership with Twin Travel Concepts, this experience welcomes guests on a shared journey into the unknown — guided by paranormal investigator Brian Cano, as his On the Road with Haunted Collector unfolds along the way.

This is no ordinary tour. Under Brian’s guidance, you’ll explore the tools and techniques of the trade, from a ghost hunt to experiments in Ouija, to spoon bending and table tipping. This is your invitation to test the boundaries between curiosity and the unexplained.

Your adventure begins in Batavia, where The Hotel at Batavia Downs offers a refined retreat with a hint of anticipation in the air. Settle in… but not for long.

As twilight falls, you’ll be whisked away by luxury coach to the historic Western Block Complex, where ParaNiagara hosts a spirited evening of investigation. This nearly 200-year-old site, deeply tied to the Erie Canal, has earned its reputation as one of the region’s most talked-about haunted locations.

Morning arrives… though some may wonder if anything truly settled overnight. After breakfast, your journey continues to Buffalo’s waterfront for Paranormal Buffalo Waterside. Join Joel Dombrowski for an experience featuring the multimedia presentation Paranormal Proof, which explores local haunted sites, their histories, and compelling evidence gathered by investigators.

Then, step aboard historic WWII vessels at the Naval Park, where chilling encounters — including those tied to a former morgue — may leave a lasting impression.

You’ll return — if only briefly — to mingle with the living, with a stop in Elmwood Village. This storied neighborhood blends historic charm with a vibrant spirit of its own and has earned recognition as one of the 10 Best Neighborhoods in America.

But don’t get too comfortable.

As your journey continues, you’ll be equipped with a tool of the trade — a complimentary EMF meter, used to detect subtle electromagnetic shifts — small disturbances some believe signal something unseen drawing near. Keep it close… you may find it reacts when you least expect it.

As evening falls once more… your final descent begins.

You’ll arrive at Rolling Hills Asylum, where dinner is served with a side of unease. With over 1,700 documented deaths, this former poorhouse stands as one of the most intensely haunted locations in the country. After dinner, you’ll be introduced to its tragic past before setting out on your own ghost hunt. Roam its shadowed corridors — from the morgue to the infamous Shadow Hallway — and decide for yourself what waits in the dark.
