Video of recent visit to Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, NY

Erie Canal Museum1

The construction of the Erie Canal is viewed by many as one of the pivotal events in United States' history. The 500+ mile canal connected the East Coast and Atlantic Ocean to middle America - creating an explosive growth in the country. In downtown Syracuse (Finger Lakes region/Onondaga County), the Erie Canal Museum is a wonderful place filled with authentic artifacts and exhibits from the canal era. One section of the museum is actually the last surviving weighlock station on the canal, with a full-size canal boat you can climb into. Of course, with old buildings and artifacts, ghostly activity can happen. The Erie Canal Museum is no exception to this rule. Watch our video and learn a little more about the museum and some possible ghostly visitors that may be roaming the halls.
