During the holiday season, the media loves a good ghost story. Over the last week some of the locations on the Haunted History Trail of New York State have been receiving some media attention. Below are a few television stories and an article that talk about these haunted places in the Empire State.

Albany's ABC affiliate News10 tagged along on one of the New York State Capitol  Haunting Tours. It's an interesting story about the Capitol, including some creepy statue carvings on the walls. Watch video.

Buffalo's NBC affiliate WGRZ-TV "Daybreak Show" visited Allegiance B&B (Finger Lakes region/Livingston County). You can hear about the different ghosts that haunt this beautiful house. The video also aired on WFMY-TV in Greensboro, NC. Watch video.

Rolling Hills Asylum (Greater Niagara region/Genesee County) was featured in Artvoice Magazine (article here) and was WGRZ-TV's "Daybreak Show" with reporter Kevin O'Neil.

WGRZ-TV also did a story on Niagara Fall's Red Coach Inn. The wonderful place is known for it's location and the ghosts that roam throughout. Watch video.

The Iron Island Museum was featured on Buffalo's ABC affiliate WKBW-TV. One viewing of this video and you'll be intrigued. Watch video.

National news website The Huffington Post highlighted The Shanley Hotel (Catskills region/Ulster County) as one of 10 haunted hotels you can stay in. The article can be read here.
