ILL Eagle Taphouse

ILL Eagle Taphouse occupies a historic 1902 Federal Building, once a U.S. Post Office, Courthouse, and police evidence storage for Elmira, NY’s most notorious unsolved crimes. With reports of eerie sensations, sudden cold spots, and unexplained movement, some believe the spirits of those tied to the building’s criminal past still linger. Today, guests can enjoy a laid-back, social atmosphere with local beers, wines, spirits, and a simple yet satisfying menu—all with a side of the supernatural.

Hose 22 Firehouse Grill

Restored in 2007, this former 1916 firehouse, once home to the Baldwin Engine and Hose Company, sat abandoned for nearly 50 years before being transformed into one of Rochester’s most unique dining spots. Now, Hose 22 blends craft cuisine with a hauntingly alluring charm, where eerie encounters include shadowy figures on security cameras, phantom music, and faucets turning on by themselves. Whether drawn in by the food, history, or hauntings, one thing is certain—the spirits here never get extinguished!

Union Tavern

The Union Tavern in Rochester, NY is known for more than great food and drinks—it’s also home to a few lingering spirits. Guests and staff report eerie encounters, from a ghostly woman by the fireplace to phantom men in the basement, cold spots, and unexplained whistling. Dating back to 1819, the building was once owned by a rumored ex-pirate, served as a stop on the Underground Railroad, and operated as a Prohibition-era speakeasy. With a history as rich as its hauntings, don’t be surprised if you leave with a ghost story of your own.

Bull's Head Inn

The Bull’s Head Inn, Cobleskill’s oldest building, has served as a town hall, courthouse, and Masonic temple—but its ghostly reputation began when a bar was unknowingly set up in Mrs. Grace Steacy’s former bedroom. A fierce opponent of alcohol, her spirit still makes her presence known, with silverware tumbling, glasses tipping, and napkins flying. Staff and guests have reported seeing a woman in period clothing gliding through the dining room and halls. Stop in for a drink or a meal—but be warned, Mrs. Steacy might still be watching.

Timeless Tavern Restaurant & Inn

This historic restaurant and inn is famed for eerie encounters, from shadowy figures and unexplained footsteps to flickering lights. A cable repairman once claimed to see a woman in the basement who introduced herself as "the boss"—yet no such person was there. Paranormal activity extends to the inn, where Albany Paranormal's 2013 investigation uncovered such compelling evidence that one investigator even chose it as her wedding venue. With a prime location in Northville near Waterfront Park and Adirondack trails, it’s the perfect spot for a memorable meal—or a stay with a spectral twist.

Silvio’s Villa

Set in a restored 18th-century mansion, Silvio’s offers classic Italian cuisine with an eerie backstory. Featured on Syfy’s Haunted Collector, paranormal investigations have captured glowing orbs, mysterious voices, and objects vanishing. Guests and staff report doors opening on their own, the apparition of a little girl, and chilling encounters—including an investigator scratched by an unseen force. Diners at Table 24, beneath the site of a tragic suicide, often experience unexplained disturbances. Visit for a meal you won’t forget, and check their events page for live music, comedy, and Psychic Nights!
