Last week I was lucky enough to make an early morning trek to the beautiful town of Naples, NY (Finger Lakes Region/Ontario County). WENY-TV from Elmira was in town filming a story on the Haunted History Trail of New York State and The Naples Hotel. Innkeeper Dominick Gallo and myself were interviewed for the story by host Henry Dormann. It was a very fun morning. During filming the camera person from the TV station swears he saw his electric cables slide along the floor, despite no one standing close to them.
An added bonus during this journey was discovering the charming town of Naples. After driving through some spectacular countryside, you enter Naples and can pretty immediately see that it's a neat place. The center of town is tucked in a valley between some high hills, giving the town some seclusion. The tree-lined streets and the businesses that fill Main Street produce a cozy and quaint atmosphere. If you find yourself near the Finger Lakes, check out this picturesque village.

The charming town of Naples has a population of 2,500 and resides an hour southeast of Rochester.
Fishing enthusiasts come from near and far to purchase gear at Sutton Company. People love their hand-made spoons that help them reel in the big ones!
The beloved Sutton Spoons!
The Naples Hotel is a neat place to stay, dine or enjoy a cocktail. It's such an inviting place, no wonder why the spirits don't want to leave. Both the innkeeper and a former employee told us many ghost stories. Apparently, if you work(ed) at The Naples Hotel it was highly likely that you had a run-in with a spirit.
Naples is on the western side of the famous Finger Lakes Wine Country. The town is known for their annual grape festival and their yummy grape pies. Haunted History Trail director Kelly Rapone was appalled that I went to Naples and didn't have a slice of grape pie.
Small town charm. The Naples Hotel plays a prominent role on Main Street.
Early morning on Main Street. A nice setting to start the day.
Discovered this little piece of street art on Main Street in Naples.
