Rome, NY 13440
One of the most interesting and stylish haunts in Central NY is the depression-era Capitol Theatre. Built in 1928, this modernistic theatre seats 1,788 and boasts a Moller Organ in the orchestra pit. Paranormal occurrences date back more than 30 years. Witnesses have reported a shadow figure of a man, organ music (despite the lack of a working organ until 2003), whispered conversations, doors opening on their own, and even the sounds of an ongoing show late at night.
